this is a project made by me during year 2007/2008 and improved by a friend of mine on year 2008/2009 at the ITI M.Buonarroti of Trento, Italy. the discs of the turbine are laser-cut stainless spring steel generously made by EBARA pumps - Cles (TN, Italy). the turbine is supplied of 6bar (0,6 MPa) compressed air, in this video it reaches its maximum efficiency of 21,6% producing 200W at 20900rpm. The range of best efficiency is between 18000 and 30000 rpm, with variations smaller than 30W. There is still some space for further major improvements. peak spinning speed is 38000rpm @6bar. higher pressure would hopefully increase the value, but the material resists certainly up to 43000rpm, higher values are not reccomended
